I have an old AO Smith motor that I am looking to replace and was told that it is now called Century. Does anybody know if these are the same motors or are they completely different but interchangeable? Also are they reliable?

AO Smith was bought by Regal Beloit who owns Century. They have just merged AO Smith into Century as they both had a very similar offering. In terms of quality – I beleive they are both very good brands and do not think the quality has changed.
