I have been contemplating switching to a decentralized vfd setup for my gear motors. I use multiple motors for my conveyor systems and would like to know if there is value by switching to a decentralized setup where the vfd is directly mounted to the motor?
Have any of you used a decentralized setup and how did it work?

I have used a decentralized Nord Gearmotor with VFD directly mounted to the motor. The motors have performed perfectly well and I saved thousands in wiring costs to run cables from the panel to the motor.
